Meet you where you are
Beginner or seasoned, recovering or building, your program starts from your body today, not someone else's idea of where you should be.
Meet your instructor
Dancer, teacher, and Pilates instructor, devoted to helping you understand and trust your own body.
My story
My name is Penelope Huerta, and I've spent more than fifteen years as a dancer, teacher, and Pilates instructor. Movement has been the throughline of my whole life, first as a performer, and then as someone fascinated by how the body trains, rehabilitates, and grows stronger.
That curiosity led me deep into Pilates and Contrology, where I learned that real strength comes from awareness: knowing how your muscles and skeleton work together, and how small, precise changes create lasting results.
Every person is unique, and we all have different training needs. I created Connected Body Pilates to give you a place to explore, ask questions, and truly learn about your own body, at your pace, without judgment.
Your health is your most important asset. Discover your potential with me, and fall in love with Pilates.
Start with an Intro SessionMy approach
Beginner or seasoned, recovering or building, your program starts from your body today, not someone else's idea of where you should be.
A dancer's eye and a deep knowledge of body mechanics mean cues that actually land and corrections you can feel.
I want you to leave understanding why a movement works, so your practice keeps serving you long after a session ends.
The method
Joseph Pilates developed this methodology because he believed that your mind can control your muscles and your body. Pilates, originally called Contrology, is his legacy to humanity: the art of controlling your body.
Pilates is a balanced form of exercise that strengthens the body while enhancing flexibility, posture, and overall well-being. It focuses on controlled movements, core stability, and mindful breathing, making it suitable for people of all fitness levels. Unlike high-impact workouts, Pilates promotes alignment and muscle endurance without excessive strain on the joints.
Whether you're looking to improve strength, recover from an injury, or enhance mobility, Pilates offers a holistic approach that supports both physical and mental health. Feel the benefits of a true mind-body connection: improved vitality, balance, strength, posture, bone density, sleep, stress relief, and muscle tone, with a body free of pain and injury. You'll also help prevent future injuries while improving your overall well-being.
